There is currently no PA system available but this is something that is planned for the future.
You are welcome to bring your own system to use in the hall but we would ask that you take care not to have the volume set too loud as the hall is situated in a residential area.

If you need to cancel a booking and the village hall team are unable to find a replacement booking, the repayment of the fee shall be at the discretion of the hall committee. They will take into account factors such as how much notice is given for the cancellation.
There may be the odd occasion where the committee will ask you to cancel your booking, though is is a rare occurance.
This might be becuase:
- The premises are required for any public purpose (elections etc) or
- Circumstances beyond our control.
In these cases the hirers booking fee would be refunded in full but we would bot be liable for any loss or claim incurred by you, or any other person connected to the booking, as a consequence of such cancellation.
For health ans safety reasons there are legal capacity limits. Currently, these are as follows:
- Up to 100 people for SEATED events.

Whist we don’t expect you to perform a ‘deep clean’ when you leave, there are some responsibilities for hirers under the Terms and Conditions.
You are expected to put away tables and chairs and trollies provided to make this easier. You also need to remove all rubbish to the large bin at rear of property, and leave the hall, including toilets, kitchen, and bar, in a clean and tidy condition.
You are free to use contractors or suppliers of your choice, but we do maintain a list of reliable businesses who have provided good service in the past. Please enquire at the time of booking.
You are free to personalise your event by decorating the hall, but we ask you to ensure that no tape or drawing pins are used when putting up notices or posters except on the notice boards.
Please use ‘Blu tack’ or similar and ensure this is removed along with any of your own signage or documents.

Public entertainment is covered by the Licensing Act 2003 and the guidance from The Department for Culture, Media and Sport is very clear: "Any performances of live music that take place in private homes and gardens for private parties and weddings will not be licensable unless the host takes the unusual step of charging his guests to attend and with a view to making a profit."
PRS for music (formerly the Performing Rights Society) who collect royalties on behalf of composers and publishers does not require a licence for a private event. PRS for music states: "PRS for Music does not make a charge for functions of a purely domestic or family nature, such as wedding receptions, christening parties or domestic birthday parties, when: attendance of guests is by personal invitation only (except for staff, performers, etc.); the function is held in a privately-booked room, not at that time open to the general public; there is no form of charge made for admission; there is no financial gain to the function's organiser or host (e.g. the person hiring the venue)."
